How To Refresh Your Website In 3 Easy Steps

Spring is finally showing up in Michigan which means we are ready to reset and refresh just about everything - our website included.

Here are 3 easy things that you can do this spring to refresh your website.

01. Refresh your testimonials

Are your testimonials up to date? Are you using the best ones to showcase what it's really like to work with you? We want something that says more then “she was amazing to work with”. Testimonials should really hit people right in the gut and make them know what they can expect and how you can help them.

If you need help getting better testimonials from you clients you can check out this blog post I made here.

Go in and update these testimonials all throughout your website. Even go as far as asking your client if they have a professional photo that you can use on your website, this really pulls it all together in my opinion and shows them this is a real person.

02. Update your copy and SEO

Has it been awhile since you have updated your website copy? Go in and see what needs to be changed, removed or added. For example check your service descriptions - do those need to be updated? What about your pricing? Do you need to remove something that you are no longer offering? Make sure that everything is up to date all throughout.

Don't forget about your SEO (search engine optimization) - this is something that should be updated frequently to ensure that you are staying up to date! Do some research on key words for you industry and add them throughout your website copy as well as in your page SEO. Your website hosting platform should have information on how to update this. Even make sure that you are renaming your photos (with keyword descriptions) before uploading them into your website.

03. Add some new photography or elements

Swap out some of your current photos with different ones from your brand shoot. If you haven't had a brand shoot yet then update some of your stock photography or add in some fresh new elements throughout your  pages.

Some of my favorite stock photography sites are

www.pexels.com

www.unsplash.com

www.hautestock.co
